Caddis opens first Illinois senior living community, Heartis Village Peoria

In celebration of their first Illinois community, a grand opening of the 108-unit, 97,000 square foot Heartis® Village Peoria senior living community at 8201 N. Illinois Route 91 in Peoria, was recently held. The ribbon cutting ceremony was well attended by the local community and all were eager for the property tour.

The community consists of two adjoined components: a single-story, 36-unit memory care residence and a three-story residence with a total of 72 luxurious assisted living apartments.

“At Caddis, we believe it’s important for every major city to have access to a Heartis senior community where residents live active, full lives,” says Jud Jacobs, Caddis Senior Vice President of Development and Partner. “That’s why we’re also developing Heartis communities in a number of other markets, so local residents will feel warmly welcomed and get the care and support they need, all in an uplifting environment.”

“Everything about Heartis Village Peoria, from the contemporary design and the first-class finishes to the variety of amenities and caring, professional staff, will appeal to residents and their families who want the best senior living environment,” notes Katie Kleinsmith Csobaji, Caddis Senior Vice President of Senior Living. “This is the kind of community where our own moms and dads would feel at home.”

Heartis Village Peoria offers a wide variety of amenities and special features, including a salon and spa with a therapeutic tub; two interior courtyards; a large dining room and a private dining room; an arts and crafts room; media room; daily specialized activities; nurse-supervised staff; beautifully landscaped grounds; 24-hour emergency call system; housekeeping and laundry services; personal transportation; assistance with the activities of daily living; and high-quality finishes.

The community is owned by Caddis and managed by Pathway®, a senior living operations management company headquartered in Chicago. The architect for the project was Austin, Texas-based Katus LLC and the general contractor was McShane Construction, headquartered in Rosemont, Ill.
