Caddis to begin developing second senior living community in Georgia
In a continuation of a major expansion into the Southeastern United States, Caddis, a national healthcare real estate firm headquartered in Dallas, will break ground this spring for its second Heartis® senior living community in Georgia – in Suwanee, a suburb of the fast-growing Atlanta area.
Heartis Suwanee will include 175 spacious independent living, assisted living and memory care units in a single-story, two-story and three-story building totaling about 187,375 square feet. The senior community, which is expected to open in fall 2018, will be located on a 10-acre site on the northwest corner of Suwanee Dam Road and Brogdon Road.
Caddis broke ground on its first senior community in Georgia – the 157,029 square foot Heartis Fayetteville near Atlanta – late last year.
“We’re excited to begin developing another high-quality senior living community in Georgia in the vital, growing Atlanta area, and we believe it will be a welcome addition to the community,” says Jud Jacobs, Caddis Executive Vice President of Development and Partner. “In addition to all of the amenities, residents will benefit from the assistance of experienced, caring staff. If you or your family member is at a place in their life when they need assistance, Heartis Suwanee will be a great place to live – a warm, nurturing environment where they can live life to the fullest.”
Katie Kleinsmith Csobaji, Caddis Senior Vice President of Senior Living, notes, “All of our Heartis communities are ideally located, and Heartis Suwanee will be no exception. It will be on the highly accessible major thoroughfare Suwanee Dam Road and just minutes from many retail establishments such as the Mall of Georgia and Suwanee Town Center, as well as healthcare providers including Northside Emory Johns Creek Hospital.”
She added, “Everything about the new Heartis Suwanee community, including the beautiful grounds, first-class finishes and fun daily activities, will be designed to appeal to those who want to live a fulfilling, rewarding life. Most important is that area residents will have the opportunity to be part of an important new lifestyle option that is also value-oriented and well within market rates.”
Heartis Suwanee will offer a wide variety of first-class amenities, including spacious accommodations with cable TV; large, secured courtyards; beautifully landscaped grounds with walking paths; game and activity rooms; a beauty and barber shop; large, inviting dining room serving home-cooked meals; social and recreational activities and religious services; and relaxing common areas. Special services will include nurse-supervised staff; 24-hour emergency call system; housekeeping and laundry services; and assistance with personal activities, memory care services and medication supervision.
The architect for the project is Austin, Texas-based Katus.
